ATX West is one of five co-located trade shows that converge in Anaheim, Calif. each year. This year, visitors could stop in at more than 1,600 booths showcasing the latest automated machines, equipment and technology.

The B2B automation manufacturing trade show is an annual pitstop for Altech Corp., a supplier and distributor of electronic and control components. This is where visitors are likely to meet Paul Stasik, a product manager and subject matter expert in industrial control, instrumentation and supplies, who walked Machine Design through the features of a GEOS series of industrial outdoor/indoor enclosure.

Stasik said the enclosure is designed with high-quality polycarbonate, which provides UV and weather resistance. It comes with an integrated gasket, making it the ideal choice in tough environments. An air ventilation element, which equalizes pressure, is an optional feature, he said.

To round out the demo, Stasik passed the mic to his colleague Tayler Meise, product manager, who pointed out the enclosure’s accommodating assembly features, such as various covers and the hinged door system, as well as the flexible assembly of heavy-duty industrial plug-in connectors. He said that the enclosures offer high degree of safety and protection (rating IP67).
