There are more than a few bloggers and writers out there (like this one) claiming that Steve Jobs of Apple is a world-class inventor. Give me a break. That's like saying Rupert Murdoch or Arthur Sulzberger Jr. is a journalist. Or giving the CEO of Lockheed in 1966 credit for inventing the SR-71. I give Jobs all the credit in the world for running a successful hi-tech company, keeping employees happy and sending new products out the door. But inventor? Hogwash.
