You are in luck if you drive some kind of EV and happen to work for 3M, Chrysler, Duke Energy, Eli Lilly, Ford Motor, GE, GM, Google, Nissan, San Diego G&E, Siemens, Tesla, or Verizon. All these companies recently signed up with the Dept. of Energy to begin installing EV charge plugs in the parking lots of their facilities.
The DOE recently announced that these firms were part of something called the Workplace Charging Challenge. That means they'll all "assess workforce PEV charging demands, and then develop and implement a plan to install workplace charging infrastructure for at least one major worksite location." In other words, baby steps toward putting charge plugs in parking lots, but at least progress on that score.
