Silicone-based materials

Genioplast Pellet S is a pelletized, ultrahigh- molecular-weight polysiloxane for thermoplastic compounding. It improves flow and reduces deposits on dies.

Another compound Genioplast Pellet P targets packaging applications. It gets surfaces smooth enough that products pour out easily.

Geniomer, a silicone-based thermoplastic film, combines specific properties of silicones with the easy processing of conventional thermoplastics. It features good release and slip properties and high UV stability. The transparent film also repels water and contains no catalysts or plasticizers.

Geniosil N 550 is a permanently flexible adhesive and sealant based on silane-modified polymers. It resists temperature extremes, UV, and weathering and can be painted either in a cured state or by a weton- wet process.

Finally, Elastosil R plus 4700 selfadhesive solid silicones adhere to a wide variety of substrates at atmospheric pressure. This makes them candidates for coextruding with metals, plastics, and other silicones.
