When combined, DCX motors, GPX gearheads, and ENX encoders form a high-precision drive system. DCX motors feature precious metal or graphite brushes, can be equipped with standard preloaded ball bearings or sintered bearings, and cover a large voltage range with six different ironless windings. Almost all mechanical configurations are possible with the motor’s new housing, and its mounting flange is fully configurable, including thread diameter, position, number of mounting holes, and dimensions of the centering collar. A short-configuration motor without a flange is also available. The motor’s output shaft length and diameter can be selected, with or without flat.
Two matching encoders, the ENX Quad and ENX Easy, feature a strong design and high signal quality. The ENX Quad is a single-pulse, two-channel encoder suitable for speed and direction detection. With a built-in ESD protection network, reverse-polarity protection, and cable strain relief, it is suited for simple closed-loop tasks. The ENX Easy is a three-channel encoder with line driver and a resolution of up to 1,024 pulses/rev. Cables are configurable in seven lengths, from 50 to 1,000 mm.
