The KF Series of sealed rocker switches from Cherry Electrical Products, Pleasant Prairie, Wis., resists dust and water ( IP65), and can be configured to meet a variety of different needs. For example, the switches are rated for both ac and dc current and are available in single or double-pole versions. The snap-in switches can also be lit or unlit and provide maintained or momentary switch functions. They are UL rated for a minimum of 6,000 operations. The company claims the devices have a mechanical life of 100,000 cycles and an electrical life of 10,000 cycles. The devices feature silver-plated quick-connect terminals. The switches operate in temperatures from –25 to 85°C.
