Washers can be manufactured from a variety of materials, including low-carbon sheet steel, spring steels, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and nickel silver. Nonmetallic options include ABS, acetal, polyester, nylon, MD nylon, polycarbonate, fiber, polyethylene, and various phenolics. Tools for nonmetallic materials are listed in boldface for quick reference.
