DOW backing layer films for transdermal drug delivery keep out moisture, oxygen, and contaminants while remaining soft, flexible, and nonirritating. Film composition is based on a balance of chemical resistance, flex and comfort properties, and oxygen and moisture-barrier characteristics. The four or five-layer films are thin, heat sealable, printable, and machinable.
