Compact PEC cylinders from Asco/Joucomatic, Ft. Mill, S.C., have diameters ranging from 32 to 100 mm, and are said to be 65% smaller than standard cylinders. The sturdy construction includes front and rear ends attached with screws to the profiled barrel. Position sensors fit into dovetail grooves for further space savings. The cylinders are suited for today's industrial automation needs for small size, light weight, and high reliability in assembly, packaging, handling, and robotic applications.
