Deep-Drawn EMI Shielding

April 27, 2006
Deep-drawn shielding lets designers tailor aesthetic surfaces and consolidate parts in handheld devices while maintaining electromagnetic shielding properties.

It produces thin-gauge metal structures that also provide good environmental sealing. The structures can also be overmolded to be conductive or nonconductive. Deep-drawn components combined with thermal interface materials create multifunctional heat-removal members that are RoHS compliant.
