Wet-Grip Elastomers

Feb. 3, 2005
RTP 6011 thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is designed specifically for improved wet-grip performance in hand grips and foot pads for marine and personal watercraft, consumer personal-care products, and household kitchen utensils.

The TPE features a wet coefficient of friction 45% higher than SBCbased TPEs and olefinic thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) of equivalent hardness (55, 65, and 75 Shore A). The materials bonds well to polypropylene substrates and can be colored by either concentrate or precolor methods.
