Aluminum-Threaded Plugs with Magnetic Stem and Seal

June 2, 2005
Aluminum-threaded magnetic plugs attract iron particles that may be suspended in liquid.

An NBR synthetic rubber seal resists temperatures to 250°F. Versions with Viton seals are also available.

A radial undercut in the mating face retains the seal and prevents it from dropping out or from protruding when the plug is tightened. The design allows the seal to be made of a softer material for better sealing. Plugs have a matte, shot-blasted finish and laser-engraved symbols and come in metric pipe thread and BSPP parallel threads.
