, Brampton, Ont. (peelplastics.com), juxtapositioned an orange rose against a bold blue background on the stand-up pouch (SUP) for Systemic rose flower & shrub care insecticide from PBI/Gordon Corp., Kansas City. The SUP's striking graphics are in stark contrast to those typically found on similar products housed in conventional cartons and bottles. Weather-resistant inks create the full-coverage graphics that stand up to 1,500 hr of direct exposure to Florida-like UV and moisture without degrading. Doublelayered metallized films keep the insecticide's active ingredients from migrating through the package, degrading product integrity, and staining the colorful graphics.
