Fiber Laser-Marking System

Jan. 12, 2006
The FiberTower Series Q-Switched fiber laser-marking systems are an alternative to Nd:YAG lasers for part-marking applications.

They have a Q-Switched fiber laser, scan head, PCI control board, and graphical-based software, and are available as portable, handheld systems. They require a low-voltage power source and are said to be five times more power efficient than YAG and CO2 systems. A turnkey workstation with a programmable Z axis, rotary indexer, or XY table is standard.
