Product Spotlight: Powder-coated enclosure absorbs radiation

May 22, 2008
The Type 4X stainless-steel wall-mount enclosure has a white polyester-powder finish inside and out that reduces solar-radiation absorption and keeps internal components cooler.

The enclosure’s white finish lowers the internal enclosure temperature up to 10° more than that of noncoated versions. The single-door enclosure features continuously welded, ground smooth seams with no holes or knockouts, a data pocket of high-impact thermoplastic, a Type 316L stainless-steel small Powerglade Padlocking Handle, Type 4 gasket for a water and dusttight seal, and a 90° flange top collar on the top of the body opening that keeps out liquids and contaminants.
