Dust-Busting Foams

March 9, 2006
Microcellular urethane foams keep dust out of handheld electronics.

The Poron Soft Seal foams conform and fill gaps in electronic enclosures, including high-resolution LCDs and other user interfaces where visible dust would make screens unreadable or damage electronics. The ultrasoft, low-density (6.5 lb/ft 3 ) foams are 1-mm thick and conform easily to varying contours and gap thicknesses with low closure force. They have a PET backing for stability and provide tight seals even under extreme conditions.
