Two new implantable lithium-thionyl chloride batteries join the Contego line of medical batteries.

Available in 350 and 750-mAh formats, the batteries provide high-energy density and low-entry cost for implantable cardiac and glucose monitors. Lithiumthionyl chloride also has low self-discharge for maximum reliability.
