Create Wires, Cables, And Bundles In Assemblies

May 11, 2006
Solid Edge Wire Harness Design is an add-on for Solid Edge CAD software that works with electrical-circuit-design systems to create, route, and organize wires, cables, and bundles in assemblies.

The software warns of design violations through built-in error checkers that provide live feedback. It also imports ready-to-use netlist files from eCAD programs such as Vesys, Mentor Graphics, and Promis-e, and can add mechanical components using a predefined grid. The software lets design teams collaborate and create digital mock-ups. Watch a demo at http://www.solidedge.com/ overview/v18_wireharness.htm.
