Ultraminiature Quick Disconnects

April 13, 2006
New ultraminiature M3-threaded quick disconnects weigh only 3.4 gm.

The brass internal end is designed with an automatic shut-off valve and an M3 internal thread. It is only about 16.7 mm long and has a 6-mm hexagonal body. The stainless-steel external end has an M3 external thread, a captured O-ring seal for leaktight connection, and is only about 11-mm long with a 5-mm hex body. The threaded quick disconnects are designed for applications that require small size, leak tightness, durability, and light weight. Applications include medical and dental equipment, instruments, laboratories, aerospace, and semiconductormanufacturing equipment.
