Antimicrobial Sealing Rings

Feb. 9, 2006
Elastoguard-HNBR sealing rings are made from a high-temperature compound formulated with a silver-based biocide.

The silver permeates molded parts and provides long-lasting protection against bacteria. The antimicrobial rings are used in dairy and other food-contact applications. They withstand repeated steam washings at temperatures to 150°C and come in 10 sizes with 20 to 144-mm OD. The compound resists oil, grease, and aging and can serve in gaskets, casters, diaphragms, and leveling feet.
