Leadscrew Assemblies

March 23, 2006
A line of leadscrew assemblies includes Acme leadscrews, advanced coatings, and technically advanced antibacklash nuts.

Manufactured from 303-stainless steel, the leadscrews are available with Black Ice coating, a specially developed PTFE coating process that eliminates the flaking common with PTFE coatings. Available diameters include 0.1875 to 0.375 in.

Antibacklash nuts are for applications requiring precise positioning as they eliminate minimal backlash between the leadscrew and nut interface. Manufactured from selflubricating polyacetal, the nuts, when combined with rolled stainless-steel leadscrews, provide low drag torque and smooth operation. The nuts can be operated without lubrication when combined with Black Ice coated screws. Three antibacklash styles are available, as well as a new low-profile freewheeling design.
