DIN-Rail Surge Protectors

May 11, 2006
Valvetrab Compact is a DIN-rail-mountable surge-protection device measuring just 12 mm/channel, said to be the smallest footprint in the industry.

Symmetrical plugs and bases facilitate installation whether the power wires come from the top or the bottom. These surge protectors are designed to handle worldwide powersystem configurations and different versions are available to address one, two, or three-phase power systems. Local and remote provides diagnostics for the status of the protection plugs. Form C contact, available in the base unit, provides remote indication. The pluggable surge components remove easily prior to "hi-pot" testing so that there is no mistaken interference with results. A 40-kA (8/20) surge current handling capacity, fast response and low protection level provide protection from switching transients as well as the effects of lightning events.
