Curving Conveyors

Jan. 20, 2005
VarioFlow S modular conveyor systems let material flow at high speeds.

They feature lower chain tensile forces for longer conveyor runs with one drive unit. The systems use UHMW-PE slide rails with roller bearings for internal conveyor radii (top and bottom). With a curve factor of only 1.15 for a full 180° turn the conveyors reduce sliding friction for lower tensile forces, longer chain life, and fewer drives. There is more space at the inner arc of the conveyor's turn (R = 250 mm) to accommodate products of all sizes and geometries while maintaining accumulation capability. The systems are available in widths of 80, 100, 160, 240, and 320 mm. And there are three conveyor profile options: one-piece aluminum, open-design aluminum, and open-design stainless steel.
