New Product: Data-Acquisition Software

April 24, 2008
VxScan v.2 data-acquisition software works with Handyscan 3D scanners.

The software includes a new Decimate Triangles slider that reduces mesh resolution on flat areas while keeping a higher-resolution mesh on complex and detailed surfaces. Also, a redesigned spike filter helps eliminate noise. And a new Lock Zoom function lets users zoom on particular details while scanning. The software produces smaller STL files than in the past, and works with Windows XP 32 bit as well as Windows Vista 32 and 64-bit operating systems.
