RAL Color Matching Of Pigments

Feb. 3, 2005
Formularies matching RAL Classic color standards for AldeSol solvent-based pigment dispersions in paint and coatings are now available.

The formularies and masstones are for in-house tinting using gravimetric or volumetric equipment. They are said to reduce labor and the time needed to match colors. Compared to traditional color matching, such as cogrind and intermix, AldeSol pigments work with a wider range of paints including acrylic, urethane, epoxy, polyester, alkyds (of all oil lengths), nitrocellulose, and vinyl. They also provide more tightly controlled color, strength (±3%), and viscosity.
