Guide Screw Does Rapid Moves

July 8, 2004
The RGS rapid guide screw hits speeds to 60 ips, rivaling belts and cables and offering better positioning accuracy, repeatability, and axial stiffness.

Units are driven by a precisionrolled stainlesssteel leadscrew with a precision aluminum guide and carriage. Moving surfaces include Kerkite high-performance polymers on Kerkote TFE coatings. Units come standard with a wear-compensating, antibacklash-driven carriage. Additional driven or passive carriages are optional. Lengths to 8 ft are available and longer lengths can be special ordered.
