    New Products: Severe-Duty Industrial Motor Reaches 3,000 hp

    The API 547 line of severe-duty ac industrial motors is said to meet the American Petroleum Institute’s Specification 547 requirements and is the first to receive the API’s “monogram of approval.”

    Designed for safe and reliable operation in severe-duty applications targeting the petroleum and petrochemical industries, the API 547 motors are available from 250 through 3,000 hp in 2, 4, 6, and 8-pole speed configurations. The motors can be made to comply with customer needs for critical-duty motors.
