New Products: Linear encoder for machine tools with dros

Jan. 10, 2008
The LS 688C linear encoder has a full-size scale and is available in common measuring lengths between 170 to 3,040 mm, with additions of standard scales available at 670, 870, and 970 mm as well.

The scanning carriage on the encoder rides on ball bearings for rigidity in the measuring direction. Backlash and mounting tolerances are said to make it well suited for manually operated machine tools and digital readout (DRO) applications.
