Castable urethanes

Oct. 26, 2006
Flexane urethanes compounds are castable, nonshrinking, and waterproof. They can insulate electrical connectors, wires, and cables or serve as potting and encapsulating materials.

They resist abrasions, vibrations, and temperature cycling to 350°F. They cure at room temperature to a hardness ranging from 78 (or lower with Flex-Add additive) to 97 Shore A. They sport tensile strengths to 3,300 psi, tear resistances to 515 pli, and dielectric strengths to 350 V/mil. They produce no VOC emissions and come in several viscosities -- Flexane 80 (medium-viscosity) and Flexane 94 (low-viscosity).
