High-Temp Coating Detects Corrosion

Nov. 18, 2004
A high-temperature, red-pigmented coating provides corrosion protection and color identification on large aluminum and steel structures. Corr-Paint CP4060 is a single-part, silicone-based, water-dispersible coating system for use in applications to 1,100°F.

A high-temperature, red-pigmented coating provides corrosion protection and color identification on large aluminum and steel structures. Corr-Paint CP4060 is a single-part, silicone-based, water-dispersible coating system for use in applications to 1,100°F. It can be applied to sandblasted or marginally prepared metal surfaces using conventional pneumatic-spray equipment, brush, or roller. The paint dries rapidly at room temperature and is resistant to oxidation, ultraviolet light, humidity, and salt spray. Applications include heat exchangers, crackers, reformers, exhaust ducting, and structures that experience oxidation due to moisture and condensation. Corr-Paint CP4060 is available in pint, quart, gallon, and 5-gallon pails.
