Fasteners for Stainless Assemblies

April 1, 2005
PEM self-clinching fasteners for thin stainless-steel sheets handle applications that demand corrosion resistance and light weight.

Products made from 400-Series stainless steel include panel fasteners, which incorporate captive screws to minimize loose parts and meet UL-1950 "service-area access" requirements; through-hole threaded and unthreaded standoffs; blind-threaded standoffs designed for stacking or spacing; and flush-head studs. The product line also includes nuts with corrosion resistance similar to 300-Series stainless. All are machined from specially hardened stainless steels and install permanently in sheets as thin as 0.030 in., becoming integral parts of an assembly.
