Software Opens Autodesk Vault

June 2, 2005
Vault Access software works with Autodesk Vault to let users who do not have Autodesk CAD products installed on their desktop search, view and print data that resides in their Vault data-management system.

Vault Access lets users view and print Inventor and DWF files in Autodesk Vault. The access software also launches external viewers for other applications such as Office documents.

Vault Access lets those in manufacturing and purchasing share engineering data. Autodesk Vault keeps track of different versions of engineering files and is an easy-to-use data-management tool integrated with the Autodesk Inventor Series, Autodesk Inventor Professional, AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Electrical. Vault Access features include browsing the Vault Folder Structure, interrogating meta-data associated with files in the vault (including material specifications, and vendor information), and searching for files based on properties or simply by part number. Price: $149/seat.
