New Product: Automotive Relay

April 24, 2008
The FBR53-HW40-A is reported to be the smallest, high-temperature-grade automotive PCB relay.

The device measures 15.5 12.2 13.7 mm, weighs 6 gm, and is constructed of a liquid-crystalline-polymer material. Features of the relay include a 14-Vdc, 40-A (resistive load with both contacts connected) contact rating, operates at –40 to 125°C, 1.2 mΩ contact resistance (at 7 A, 12 Vdc), handles 80-A inrush maximum, and has an electrical life of 100,000 operations. The relay series comes in standard 9, 10, and 12-Vdc coil voltages, with 0.86-W coil power.
