Rotary Encoder Targets Resolvers

June 16, 2005
Inductive rotary encoders target applications in drive technology, robotics, and general automation previously employing resolvers.

The ECI 1116 is an absolute single-turn encoder with a 16-bit resolution while the ECI 1128 is a multiturn absolute encoder with 28-bit resolution. Both encoders are 38 mm in diameter and less than 28-mm long.
