A magnetic seal keeps the actuators from contaminating medical and pharmaceutical environments. By eliminating the belt-drive gearboxes required in similar actuators, the PL Series has a lower overall system cost. Preloaded ball-bearing rollers guided by V-shaped hardenedsteel raceways make the actuators quiet, smooth, precise. The actuators feature a 0.02-mm repeatability, up to 1,524-mm stroke length, and a 440-lb (1,975-N) load-carrying capacity.
