Microinjection-Molded Filters

June 22, 2006
Micromolded nylon and polypropylene filters feature 1,000 square openings that are 0.003-in. (76- m) wide with wall thicknesses of only 0.006 in.

This gives the filters an open area range of 18 to 36%. Injection molding holds microtolerances for filters in medical devices, microelectronics, industrial, and biomedical applications. Filters can also be used for microdispensing.
