Hoopster retaining rings fit into much shallower grooves than regular snap rings or retaining rings making them suitable for light to heavy loads and ideal for thin-wall tubes. Advantages of the rings include low-profile, precision circularity, small radial size, and the potential for high thrust capacity. The low radial profile will not twist or deform under load as with conventional retaining rings.

The rings come in carbon and 302 stainless steel in sizes from 3 / 8 to 3 in. and are easily installed without special tools is available at www.smalley.com/hoopster.
