Positol’s Magnetocode (MCD) Series encoders are for motion-control applications such as elevator-control systems. The absolute rotary encoders come in single or multiturn versions and a CAN-open-certified digital interface is available that supports the CiA 417 lift application. The encoders feature ball-bearing-mounted shafts and highly accurate noncontact position-measurement technology. The digital interface allows programming of internal parameters such as operating mode, data-transmission rates, zero offset, direction of rotation, and number of steps per turn. The MCD’s internal system also keeps track of absolute position readings.Fraba Inc., 1800 E. State St., Suite 148, Hamilton, NJ 08609, (609) 750-8705, www.posital.com
