Motoman, Yaskawa Electric America join

Motoman Inc. and Yaskawa Electric America Inc. have combined to form Yaskawa America Inc. The Motoman Inc. operations, Dayton, Ohio, will form the Motoman Robotics Division of Yaskawa America, while the Yaskawa Electric America Inc. operations, Waukegan, Ill., will form the Drives and Motion Division. Both divisions will continue to operate independently, retaining the same management structures and operating in the same geographical regions currently in place. Electrochem achieves sensor certification

Electrochem, Clarence, N.Y., announces that its line of wireless pressure, temperature, and flow sensors has attained certification from CSA International for use in hazardous environments. The certification applies to U.S. (Class I; Division 1; Groups A, B, C, D; T4) and Canada (Ex/AEx ia IIC T4). Designed for harsh environments, the company's wireless sensor products employ aerospace-quality sensing elements and are assembled in a sealed housing.
