INDUSTRIAL REMOTE-ACCESS APP
AutomationDirect's new C-more remote HMI application is available through the iTunes App Store for $4.99 and provides remote access and control to mobile users who have a Wi-Fi or cellular connection. (Note, however, that a C-more panel with remote connectivity is required.)
Unlike similar apps, this one doesn't require third-party remote desktop VNC-type applications. Multilevel log-on security for up to three remote access user accounts is configured and stored in the panel project — so each user account can be configured for a suitable level of access.

APP DIAGNOSES AILING DRIVES
Is your frequency inverter from SEW-Eurodrive signaling an error? Do you need support in diagnosing the problem? An updated app from the company is available for free at the iTunes App Store to help. This app can quickly diagnose errors anywhere or anytime: The designer simply enters the error code displayed on the drive to quickly receive a list of possible causes and matching solutions. In addition, there's support for handling inverter faults — and information extends to MOVIDRIVE B, MOVITRAC B, and MOVIMOT C and D codes. A 24-hour service hotline can be called directly from the app.
