The sealer works on steel and chrome-plated molds.

Frekote Aqualine RS-100 clear, water-based sealer boosts mold-release capacity by six to 12 times by sealing micro-porosity in steel and chrome-plated molds in technical rubber applications. The sealer withstands temperatures to 698°F and can be applied between 199°F and 401°F, curing in 15 to 20 minutes.
RS-100 comes in 1 and 5-gal containers for application by low-pressure spray.
