Diamondlike Carbon Coating

    Balinit DLC Star features a tough chromium-nitride layer that provides a diamondlike surface with good load bearing capacity.

    It is an addition to the Superior Tribological Arrangement (Star) family of carbonbased surface treatments. A singlepass vacuum process creates the defect-free layer, which reportedly improves performance and service life of engines and highpressure pump components, as well food-processing machinery, and aerospace components.
