The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) has released a detailed study on the importance of intellectual property and innovation in America. GIPC's State Fact Sheets take a look at the roles innovation and creativity play in each state, highlighting local companies along with interesting IP facts and figures.

The State Fact Sheets project is a resource for legislators, policymakers, and the public to identify successful American companies, inventors, creative artists, and innovative enterprises across the U.S. As part of an easy-to-use, interactive map, the project can be accessed online as well as in a printable format. America's IP-intensive industries employ nearly 18 million workers. These innovative sectors account for more than $5 trillion of U.S. gross domestic product, comprise more than half of all U.S. exports, and represent 40% of national economic growth. Fact sheets for all 50 states are located at www.theglobalipcenter.com.
