Microstepping drives

The DCM8028 and DCM8055 microstepping drives are suitable for driving two-phase stepmotors with maximum current ratings of 2.8 and 5.5 A/phase.

Using an advanced bipolar constant-current chopping technique and an 80-Vdc maximum input voltage, the drives deliver optimum performance throughout a greater speed range. Features include high performance, low cost, compact size, mixed decay current control for less motor heating, automatic idle-current reduction, and microstep resolutions from 1/2 to 1/256 step. There are 14 microstep resolutions available in decimal and binary. Output current levels and microstep resolutions are set via an 8-bit DIP switch. The drives are suitable for four, six, and eight-lead motors and useful in applications requiring low noise, low vibration, high speed, and high-precision requirements.
