More Than Markup, More Than Viewing

Dec. 9, 2004
SpinFire Professional 2004v2 adds assembly functions to its 3D CAD visualization, and it needs no AD system.

SpinFire Professional 2004v2 streamlines communications by organizing multiple views or documents of related design data in one secure file.

Users can import 3D models, convert them to the .3D format, assemble them to test for interferences, and take measurements from them. The .3D format is compressed and secure. Old 2D drawings from obsolete CAD systems, which are often stored as bit maps, can be imported, translated, and used in design operations. 2D and 3D CAD, PDF, Microsoft Office, TIFF, GIF, and more document types can be saved in one compact .3D file. Price: $499. A free trial version of the software is available for download at actify.com.
