Variable-speed ac motors and precision spur-gear pumps deliver accuracy and flexibility. A VxWorks-based industrial PC and integrated touchscreen graphically display the adhesive system to simplify programming and operation. Users have a choice of standard I/O or optional communication platforms such as Profibus. A seven-day clock allows automatic daily startup, standby, and shutdown. Quick-connect hoses, guns, and I/O connectors simplify installation and setup. VersaBlue melters are currently available with 12, 25, 50, and 100-l tanks.
