Spick-and-span conveyor

Oct. 6, 2005
Conveyor belts are great for moving objects, including foods.

But keeping them clean is difficult because they have many areas that are hard to get to, such as beneath the conveyor belts. The 7400 Series of sanitary conveyors from Dorner Mfg., Hartland, Wis. (dorner.com), features a tip-up tail that lets operators move the idle end of the belt, creating slack without using any tools. This gives hands-free access to the conveyor frame and area beneath the belt.

The 7400 Series is a main-line production system, available in widths from 6 to 60 in., and any length to 99 ft. Belt speeds range up to 200 fpm. The conveyor system can also curve to fit almost any environment.
