Titanium Fasteners

Sept. 16, 2004
Aerolite 200, titanium-alloy fasteners for racing applications, have good toughness and provide minimum tensile and shear strengths of 200 and 108 kpsi, respectively.

The lightweight fasteners will achieve 65,000 fatigue cycles minimum under R = 0.1 conditions with a maximum stress of 74 kpsi (37% ultimate tensile strength).
