Trackstick Tracks Shipments

March 9, 2006
TrackStick is a lipstick-sized position logger that uses GPS technology to keep a watchful eye on shipments, vehicles, personnel, or anything else that moves.

Using a low-power GPS receiver, TrackStick records date, time, location, speed, heading and altitude at pre-set intervals. Configuration is done using a PC with the included software. The 1.5 oz unit is housed in a 4.1 X 1.2 X 0.87 in. plastic case and uses the GPS satellite system to calculate its position accurate within 15 m anywhere in the world. The 1-Mbyte memory stores the position information at 1 to 15-min intervals unless stationary. Recorded position history outputs to any PC USB port in rtf, xls, html, or kml formats. The included software integrates with most third-party mapping programs and services like Mapquest.com, VirtualEarth.com, maps.google.com, and Microsoft Streets and Trips.
