Spring-applied brakes

Oct. 1, 2013
The TNB Series of spring-applied brakes come in seven torque ratings ranging from 35 to 445 lb-in. The brakes have a high-coefficient friction material and were made approximately 60% thinner than the RNB Series by optimizing the flux path using finite-element methods. Designed for holding, the brake can be used to handle emergency stops up to the brake’s allowable engagement energy rating. The brakes use less material, making them lighter, which is important in portable equipment.Ogura Industrial Corp., Box 5790, Somerset, NJ 08875, (732) 271-7371, www.ogura-clutch.com
